Positive Pay System for CTS
With reference to RBI notification dated September 25th 2020, RBI/2020-21/41 DPSS.Co.RPPD.NO.309/04.07.005/2020-21 about introduction of Positive Pay Confirmation, CTBC Bank customers are requested to reconfirm below key details of the issued CTBC Bank cheque at least one day in advance before the date of presentation for value INR 50,000/ and above however, it is mandatory for cheque amount INR 5 Lakh and above effective 1st January 2021
This is to safeguard the cheques issued from CTBC Bank account, all you need to do is share below details of issued cheque along with an image of the front and reverse side of the cheque, before handing it over to the beneficiary-
1-Date
2-Amount
3-Cheque Number
4-Name of the beneficiary
5-CTBC Cheque image(Front & Back)
When the beneficiary submits the cheque for realization, the cheque details are compared with the details provided to the Bank through Positive Pay. If the details match, the cheque is honoured. In case of mismatch in cheque details, the cheque will be dishonoured.
Only those cheques which are compliant with above instructions will be accepted under dispute resolution mechanism at the CTS grids.
Customer has to send the above confirmation from their registered email ids or physical letter to be submitted in CTBC Bank branch-
